When you step into the Bits office, you’ll likely be greeted by one (or several) dogs, great coffee, and a warm, lively atmosphere. We enjoy delicious breakfasts every other Friday and gather the whole team every second Thursday for demos in the lounge, where we share updates and celebrate progress together.
Our culture is built around being together in the office, we keep the energy high with good conversations, lounge music in the background, Italian coffee ☕, and French breakfasts 🥐. That’s why we work from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Our Journey
Company founded
Bits was founded because we saw first-hand how fragmented and frustrating AML and compliance workflows can be, and how desperately the industry needed more user-friendly systems. The idea grew from the strengths of our founders: engineering, design, and commercial. Three pillars shaping the platform that offers our customers the entire compliance lifecycle, enabling them to grow and scale with a solution that’s intuitive, scalable, and genuinely enjoyable to use.
Pre-Seed
We raised our Pre-Seed funding, securing €1M from Cherry Ventures to achieve our long-term vision and to ensure we can deliver on our mission.
Larger team
We brought Ellen on board as our People Partner to help grow the team and scale our business, turning our ideas into reality. From the very beginning, we knew we were in this for the long haul, and we wanted to do it alongside smart, passionate, and fun people who shared our vision for Bits.
Seed Round
We raised our Seed funding, securing €4M from Unusual Ventures and Fin Capital to fuel our next phase of growth.
MVP
After all the hard work and focus we've put in, we've successfully brought our product together. Our attention has now shifted to onboarding and KYC, leading us to sign our first customer and receiving recognition for our efforts.
Growing and Growing
We signed our first bank customer, expanded into new markets, and launched several key product features. It’s been a year of real progress, strengthening our platform and bringing us closer to offering the most complete and intuitive compliance lifecycle platform on the market.
Series A
Having raised €12M in our Series A round, led by Alstin Capital — the Munich-based venture capital fund operated by Carsten Maschmeyer — we have strong backing to accelerate our growth.
This investment enables us to scale faster, strengthen our product, expand our reach, and continue building on our ambitious vision.
